Calgary’s metro real estate market is still trending the same as last year so far. As at the end of March 2011 compared to March 2010, we saw plus 186 single family homes sell. The single family home market witnessed the average price drop by 2% compared to last year and noted the median price fall 5.44%.
Condos saw negative 28 condos sell in metro Calgary. The average price decreased by 5% and the median price dropped by 7%.
Calgary's real estate market is definitely being forced downward which is good for the buyer. Affordability is key to a healthy real estate market.
